The Unity Term
Building Bridges Through Service
We’re more connected digitally, but more divided socially.
Today’s youth are craving authentic experiences, they're socially conscious, globally aware, and looking for ways to do something that matters.
Imagine if every high school student, regardless of background, graduated with a shared experience of serving outside their bubble.
The Unity Term gives them that purpose through real-world service and empathy.

What is The Unity Term?
The Unity Term is a nationwide initiative that places high school students in a one or two-month immersive service experience within communities that are culturally, geographically, or socioeconomically different from their own.
By stepping into unfamiliar environments and serving alongside others, students develop empathy, adaptability, and a lifelong commitment to civic engagement.
Our Mission
The Unity Term is a nationwide initiative designed to equip students with the confidence, understanding, and civic responsibility they need to thrive in a dynamic world.
By immersing our youth within communities different from their own, the program fosters cross-cultural connection, community service, and personal growth — preparing the next generation to lead with compassion and courage.
